Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

2. Data Protection Officer (DPO). Data-protection requests and claims should be addressed to contato@adlima.adv.br, the data-subject channel (LGPD, art. 41).

3. Scope. This Policy describes the processing of personal data collected through this website under Brazilian Law 13.709/2018 (LGPD).

4. Data collected. Only data voluntarily provided in the contact and newsletter forms: name, company, country, email, area of interest and message. We also collect technical data strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site (access log and language preference).

5. Purposes. To reply to the requested contact; submit proposals; send institutional communications expressly requested; and comply with legal and regulatory duties of the legal profession.

6. Legal bases. Data-subject consent (art. 7 I) and legitimate interest of the controller (art. 7 IX), always subject to the principles of art. 6 (purpose, adequacy, necessity, transparency, security and prevention).

7. Sharing. Data is not sold or shared for advertising purposes. It may be processed by contracted operators (cloud infrastructure and technology services) exclusively to operate the site, under contractual duties of confidentiality and security.

8. International transfer. The cloud infrastructure used may process data outside Brazil. Where that occurs, contractual and technical safeguards compatible with arts. 33–36 of the LGPD are adopted to ensure an adequate level of protection.

9. Information security (art. 46). We adopt technical and administrative measures to protect data, including: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest; least-privilege access control and per-record data segregation (row-level security); multi-factor authentication for administrative access and the restricted-client area; human-origin verification on restricted access; event logging and backup routines. No system is infallible; in case of an incident, we act as described in item 11.

10. Retention. Data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes and for the legal and regulatory duties applicable to the practice of law, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

11. Incidents (art. 48). In the event of a security incident that may pose a relevant risk to data subjects, we will notify the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and the affected data subjects within the timeframes and in the manner set by law.

12. Data-subject rights (art. 18). Confirmation of processing; access; correction; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or non-compliantly processed data; portability; information on sharing; information on the possibility of denying consent and the consequences; and withdrawal of consent. Requests: contato@adlima.adv.br. The data subject may also petition the ANPD.

13. Cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies (session, security and language preference). Analytics tools will only be deployed with prior, specific consent.

14. Restricted area and responsibility for access credentials. Access to the client restricted area is personal, individual and non-transferable, protected by login, password and two-step verification (multi-factor authentication). Safekeeping these credentials is the sole responsibility of the respective account holder; providing login, password or verification codes to third parties, by any means, is the sole responsibility of whoever does so, and Ambrosio de Lima Advocacia shall not be liable for any access, use or disclosure of information resulting from such conduct. If unauthorized access is suspected, the account holder must immediately notify contato@adlima.adv.br for preventive blocking of access and other appropriate measures.

15. Proper use of the website and intellectual property. The content of this website — texts, visual identity, brand, layout and other elements — belongs to Ambrosio de Lima Advocacia or is used under regular license; its reproduction, copying, extraction or reuse, in whole or in part, by any means or for any purpose, is prohibited without prior express authorization. Third-party trademarks, logos and tools that may be integrated into this website belong to their respective owners, as indicated on the Governance & Compliance page.

16. Updates. This Policy may be updated; the current version is the one published on this page. Informational content only, in compliance with Provimento 205/2021 of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar (OAB).
